1. First Yoga Kriya

By doing these exercises of yoga for the eyes, your eyes will be well exercised. It will also take very less time to do these. You can make your eyes healthy by taking only some time in a day.

How to do yoga for the eyes?

  • Sit comfortably on a yoga mat or rug in a quiet place.
  • Keep your eyes open.
  • Now you have to blink your eyelashes very fast for about 10 to 15 times.
  • After this, keep your eyes closed for a few seconds and take deep breaths and let them out.
  • Do this action about five times.

2. Second Yoga Kriya

  • To do the second action, first of all sit comfortably on the ground.
  • Keep your face and eyes in one place.
  • Now do not blink your eyelids and look upwards until your eyes water.
  • Do the same while looking down or to the right.
  • By repeating this action you will get good results.

3.Third Yoga Kriya

  • Sit comfortably on a yoga mat or rug in a quiet place.
  • Now warm your palms by rubbing them together and place them over your closed eyes.
  • By doing this the heat of the palms will go to your eyes, which will give relief to the eyes.
  • Keep your hands over your eyes until the heat of your hands is completely absorbed into the eyes.
  • Now lower your hands.
  • Rub hands again and repeat the process.

4. Sarvangasana:

Doing Sarvangasana in yoga for eyes is not only beneficial for our eyes but also for the whole body. All parts of the body are exercised by this yoga asana. Hence, its name is Sarvangasana. 

Method :

  • To do this asana, first of all, lay a yoga mat or carpet in a quiet place.
  • Lie on your back on it.
  • Keep your feet together and keep your hands on the ground by sticking to the body.
  • Now breathe in and slowly raise your legs upwards.
  • Move your feet up to 120 degrees and if possible, even to 90 degrees.
  • For this, you can also take the help of your hands. 
  • Keep your legs straight.
  • Maintain the balance of your body with the help of your hands.
  • After staying in this position for some time, come out of this posture while exhaling.
  • Repeat this yoga asana in the same way.

 5. Bhramari Pranayama

Bhramari Pranayama is a good way to increase eyesight. It removes the defects of far and near vision. Here Bhramari means bee because, while exhaling while doing this yoga, a sound like a bee comes out. This yoga also removes stress.

Method :

  • While doing Bhramari Pranayama, first of all sit comfortably on a posture.
  • Bring both your hands near your ears and close your eyes.
  • Now close both your ears with the thumbs of your hands.
  • While doing this asana, the waist, neck and head should all be straight.
  • Now place one finger of your hands on your forehead above the eyebrows and keep the rest of the fingers on the eyes.
  • Take care that the pressure of your fingers is not too much.
  • Now press the nose lightly with the fingers placed on your eyes and breathe in through the nose.
  • Now exhale slowly.
  • Exhaling breath will make a sound like a bee.
  • Come out of this posture and repeat.

6. Shavasana

It is very easy to do Shavasana because, in this, only one has to lie down. The position of the person doing this asana is like that of a dead body, hence its name is Shavasana. Along with eyesight, this asana is also useful for our brain.

Method :

  • To do this asana, first lie down on your back by laying a carpet in a quiet place.
  • Keep your mind calm and keep a little distance between the feet.
  • Keep your hands next to your body.
  • Your body should be completely loose during this time.
  • You do not have to move at all during this asana.
  • Stay in this posture for some time and then come out of it.

7. Tratak

To do this exercise in yoga for the eyes, sit in a meditative position in front of a candle. Hold the candle equal to the height of your chest and one palm away from the front. Its flame should be constant. Watch this flame with concentration for some time and then slowly close your eyes. Now focus your attention on the picture that is being made in front of you with closed eyes. Repeat this exercise three times. You can also practice Tratak with white dots on black paper or black dots on white paper. This exercise clears the eyes and along with it strengthens the eye muscles. This exercise is also very effective in increasing eyesight and memory. It increases concentration, so this exercise is especially beneficial for school going children.
