5 Ways to Increase the Number of Boxing Members in Your Boxing Gym

Spread the love

The Boxing Gym Owners are always thinking that how they can increase members in their Boxing Gym. When I was selling FitnessTexter on the streets of Miami in 2011, I signed up a client, 5th Street Gym. I had no idea of the history of this storied location at the time.

Fitness boxing gyms have recently become a very popular workout trend. But I’m not sure I’d call it a trend. A trend denotes something that has arrived and will most likely leave relatively soon. I don’t think fitness boxing is going away, and neither do the people who make a lot of money from it. Everyone is boxing these days, whether it’s Jake Gyllenhaal or supermodels.

We have worked with a number of fitness boxing and kickboxing studios to increase their monthly membership volume, whether it is a Title Boxing Club or a 9Round Kickboxing franchisee. Here are four surefire ways to grow your fitness boxing studio’s membership. We’ve also included some information on FitnessTexter in case you want to give it a shot.

1. Start Using FitnessTexter to Convert Website/Facebook Traffic

One of the simplest things you can do to increase your boxing membership is to begin using FitnessTexter.

Once you’ve obtained your text message keyword, you can begin promoting it on Facebook, Instagram, your website, and anywhere else you can think of.

FitnessTexter makes it simple to convert website visitors and Facebook fans into new members.

We’ve had business owners put their texting code on everything from business cards to car wraps, yard signs, and billboards.

When someone texts your special text message keyword to 95577, they’ll receive a text message coupon for your business, and you’ll get an email with the person’s contact information.

Sign up for a free 10-day trial today and give it a shot. You can also create a boxing poster and mention your address and contact details over there, run FaceBook ads using this poster will help you to get more members at your Boxing Gym

2. Create and Implement a Refer-a-Friend Program

Refer-a-friend programs are an excellent, low-cost way to grow your membership.

You already know that your current members are talking about fitness boxing with their friends; why not capitalize on that word-of-mouth advertising and gain more members?

Setting up a referral program isn’t difficult, but if you need assistance, tools like ReferralCandy or Ambassador are available.

When I say ‘Follow Through,’ I mean that you should actually pay your members who bring in their friends. If you’re offering a free month for every friend they refer, make it a point to give the member a large sum of money.

3. Form Alliances with Local Business Owners

Nothing beats a hot yoga session to loosen up the muscles and relax the joints after a good boxing workout. Wah-lah! You’ve just discovered the ideal business partner.

Contact a nearby yoga studio and offer their members a discount at your boxing studio in exchange for their members receiving a discount at the yoga studio.

The yoga studio owner will see an increase in membership from boxing students with sore muscles, and you (the boxing studio owner) will see an increase in membership from yoga students looking to bulk up and get ripped. It is a win-win situation for both companies.

4. Organize a Weekly Outdoor Workout in a City Park

Nothing beats free promotion, which is exactly what an outdoor workout session is.

Bring your heavy bags to a nearby park and hang them from trees/stands. Gather a group of students who want to go for a Saturday morning workout and then head out.

You’ll undoubtedly attract a lot of attention, which is excellent for increasing word-of-mouth advertising.

Make sure you have some business cards on hand to hand out to people who approach you and ask about your company.

5. Increase Revenue by Offering College and Service-Worker Discounts

Advertising your business to college students is an excellent way to increase revenue.

College students are obsessed with their bodies and are always looking for new ways to get in shape.

Set up some FitnessTexter signs promoting your deal around the local college campus and inform students that they will receive a 25% discount with their college ID.

You’ll benefit from an increase in membership.

You should also consider providing discounts to public servants such as firefighters and police officers.

It’s unfortunate that these employees’ employers don’t pay them more (the city). However, lend a helping hand by lowering the rates for service workers.
