An elastic cord could be used to adjust for more snugness. To prevent the inevitable rock-to-the-foot moment that we all have, the toe guard was integrated into the sole. Before I knew it, there was an audience who were admiring my Keen shoes and sharing stories about their Keens. It was like a family reunion, a gathering of like-minded souls, and a convention in shoe-ology.
